N=2 Was having a really good conversation with a person, we both were sharing our recent experience with covid, probably Artemus. She mentioned she has had 6 shots and intends in November to get her 7th. I mentioned she should read the Cleveland Clinic study of 50,000 health care workers which found that the more shots the higher risk for getting the covid. Without reading the study, she begins to challenge the findings. I said read the study because there's a great discussion about their findings, which were surprising. Maybe she will.

N=2 Because the same thing happened with another friend who had 5 shots. I mentioned the study and the first thing he does is challenge the findings and some how the cohort of 50,000 was biased in some way, I really can't remember. I sent him an email with the graph, major findings, link to the study. Haven't heard from him since.

What they both share is NPR, PBS, NYT etc and the absolute certainty of their belief and faith in medical science, the CDC can be trusted and Fauci is a saint. One went so far to insist the unvaccinated should be denied health care. Both are solid democrats.

Nothing more to add. I am afraid to ask them if they think men can have babies.

There is a grand canyon that I don't think can be bridged. Maybe Kennedy can move the north and south rims closer and then a foot bridge.

This is my favourite part of your post:

A dawning realization

We cannot Amish our way out of this mess. We have to win the future. We have to harness AI and use it for good. We have to write the code that destroys Pharma and the other oligopolies. If we just put up a fence and raise goats they will come for us. We must slay the Leviathan.
