SCOTUS, Profit vs. love, FDA strategy, new fallacy, Port Huron Statement, Protests in D.C., Video of the revolution in six countries
Here are my latest thinking points. I’m publishing this a few hours early in case any of you can make it to the protests in D.C. (see details below).
Blue cities and states continue their tyranny
The Supreme Court is doing exactly what they said that they were going to do — blocking OSHA from imposing vaccine mandates on private companies but allowing states and cities to impose whatever vaccine tyranny they wish.
Sotomayor Rejects New York School Workers on Vaccine Requirement
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor refused to intervene on behalf of 15 people who said they are about to be fired from their jobs as New York City school employees because they refuse to get vaccinated against Covid-19.
This instantly leads to absurdity as jurisdictions governed by Democrats continue to impose vaccine fascism. If you work for the government in California or New York the state owns your body but if you work for the government in Virginia, thanks to the recent election, you have personal sovereignty.
Vaccine mandates in blue cities and states are a clear violation of the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment.
In trying to sidestep the major Constitutional issues raised by vaccine mandates, the Supreme Court threw gasoline on the fire of political polarization in this country. Since it is illegal for OSHA to force companies to impose a vaccine mandate it should also be illegal, pursuant to the 14th Amendment, for hospitals and jurisdictions controlled by Democrats to impose vaccine mandates.
As I explained in an earlier article, the Constitution clearly gives us a right to bodily autonomy (via the First, Fourth, and Thirteenth Amendments) and the Supreme Court should have struck down the OSHA mandate on Constitutional grounds rather than the narrower statutory interpretation that they used (stating simply that ‘the original OSHA statutes did not give the agency that authority’).
Because the Supreme Court ruled on such narrow grounds, blue states continue to trample individual liberties. Now families have to flee blue states for sanctuary in red states which is leading to partition and possible civil war.
In the absence of clarity from the Supreme Court we must take matters into our own hands by passing a Constitutional amendment to protect bodily sovereignty.
Does profit seeking rule out love?
In honor of Valentine’s Day, I wanted to share one of my all-time favorite academic journal articles, Does Profit-Seeking Rule Out Love? Evidence (or Not) from Economics and Law by rockstar economist Julie A. Nelson at the University of Massachusetts.
Dr. Nelson correctly points out that by law, corporations have a fiduciary duty to their shareholders to maximize profits. This leads to all sort of ghastly behavior such as dumping toxic waste if the company believes that they can get away with it — that leaves us all worse off. In the article Nelson is trying to find space within the law for companies to do the right thing on principle.
The fiduciary duty of corporate executives to shareholders is at the heart of the problem we are dealing with in the vaccine wars. Pharma has enough money to buy off government and that is cheaper than doing research and development so Pharma just bought up the system and imposed their toxic junk on the population.
Nelson is considerably more optimistic than I am about the possibility for corporations to do the right thing. I think that when we take power we must significantly re-write the laws that govern corporations so that both criminality and capture are permanently ruled out of bounds under all circumstances (via unlimited punitive damages in court for example).
The article is a classic. If you have the time to read it I would be curious to know what you think.
Let’s not wait until April, let’s escalate now
Let’s give some thought to how we can lay siege to the FDA and CDC (or any other relevant institutions) between now and April when Pfizer brings back its ghoulish EUA application to inject mRNA into kids under 5. I think it’s a mistake to stand down now. We must escalate and create a crisis. This must be our trucker convoy moment. In the comments I am eager to hear any suggestions you may have.
Conspiracy theory dopamine addiction fallacy
Conspiracy theories are alluring in part because they cause a dopamine rush. OMG can you believe what they are trying to do to us!!! Alex Berenson is the most successful reporter in the world right now in part because he knows how to craft stories that cause a dopamine rush. But I’m noticing that some people become addicted to the rush. And they need more and more hits of conspiracy theory to get that old thrill (many of us are guilty of this). It is true that we are in the midst of World War III and battling the forces of Pharma totalitarianism. That should be plenty (and just follow the money if you’re looking to test the theory). But some people keep hitting that track pad for more! more! more! layers to the conspiracy. Better to unplug, spend time in nature, and reset those baseline dopamine receptor levels.
Port Huron Statement
An article by Peter Webster mentioned the Port Huron Statement and I had a vague recollection about it but I had long since forgotten the details. So I looked into it further. The Port Huron Statement was a 63-page manifesto written in 1962 by the activists (most notably Tom Hayden) involved with Students for a Democratic Society. It was a broad critique of the U.S. economic and political system and a blueprint for what to do to fix it. I imagine it inspired similar documents such as The Power of the Powerless by Václav Havel in 1978 that laid the groundwork for toppling the communist government in Czechoslovakia.
It strikes me that we need a Port Huron Statement for the medical freedom movement. We have a unique, better, and revolutionary perspective on the economy, society, politics, and health that I think we need to articulate clearly. The 15-page COVID19 - The Spartacus Letter last year was along these lines.
But I think we need a more comprehensive statement of our principles and vision for what the world will look like when we overthrow Pharma and take power ourselves. I do not want it written by committee though — committees produce documents that are usually bloated, bland, and completely unreadable. Rather I’d like to see some of the best minds in the movement take a crack at it and then we can compare drafts and see which one we like best. Adding that to my To Do list!
Protest Monday at the FDA, Tuesday at the White House
Let’s keep the pressure on:
The revolution spreads across Canada
Freedom convoy in New Zealand
Maori perform the Ka Mate haka at freedom convoy gathering outside Parliament!
Freedom Convoy in Greece
Freedom Convoy in Finland
The revolution in France
The revolution in Australia
Blessings to the warriors! 🙌
Prayers for the truckers! 🙏
The revolution has begun, please amplify in every way that you can! ✨
In the comments, please share what you love most about our movement! 🧡
I love my readers. I love the fierce courage of the warrior moms and dads. I love our methods -- that we actually do things the right way -- read original source documents, explore all possibilities, check our biases, and speak out regardless of the attacks that will surely follow from the Stasi. I love that I get to write and think and do political organizing and that y'all have my back and get what I'm trying to do. The movement really is the revolution that I've been looking for all my life.❤️✊🙏
Love your Thinking Points, Toby - a neat, real-time, pocket guide to Covid Craziness and malfeasance.
One small correction to the video of the massive protest in Australia's capital city on the weekend - the source says 'tens of thousands' were there but credible estimates place it between half a million and a million. This is absolutely massive for little old Australia, our biggest ever single demonstration for or against anything ever. It was so big, the police couldn't do anything to derail it. It was held in high spirits and high emotion - tears-rolling-down-the-cheeks kind of emotion, the hugging-of-complete-strangers kind of emotion.
The Waste of Space who is our 'Liberal' Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, unsuccessfully tried to ignore it, as his poll approval ratings continue to tank. The Opposition Waste of Space, Labor's Anthony 'Albo' Albanese, told everyone to go home and scolded them to 'show some respect for the frontline health workers', as if it's still March 2020 and we are still sacrificing everything for our 'health heroes' by flattening the curve to protect the hospitals. Quite pathetic.
If even a 'restriction/mandate basket-case like Australia is starting to wake up, then the revolution is real. We may be a bit late to the freedom party but we'll get there.
Cheers!
