I would not trust Walensky, Fauci, or (the unfortunately named) Woodcock to housesit a goldfish. How on earth are these people in the positions that they are in?

Expand full comment

We KNOW how. That's the f'ing PROBLEM. Why do we, just for rhetorical flourish, pretend we do not?? (Hint: What did Pierre Kory repeatedly rant about, in utter exasperation, during the five-hour Senate hearing Ron Johnson held on Monday? Starts with a "c" for "chronic" as well as "completely catastrophic" to democracy.)

Corruption. Has been with us since Pandora opened that box.

No. Corruption has been a problem for eons, but the amount of money influencing government went from a trickle to a flood when Citizens United opened the faucet.

Your question is probably mostly rhetorical, but here anyway is an explanation for how such a stupid and/or corrupt puppet as Walensky, Professor of Medicine at Harvard, could become CDC Director. It's my transcription of the cringe-making introduction that she gave Fauci at Harvard Medical School when he talked at Harvard Medical Grand Rounds, Sept. 10, 2020, https://masscpr.hms.harvard.edu/event/harvard-medical-school-grand-rounds-featuring-dr-anthony-s-fauci :

[02:57] Rochelle Walensky, MD, MPH, Chief, Division of Infectious Diseases Massachusetts General Hospital: "I have the great honor of introducing a man, truly a hero who needs no introduction. But for those of you who only know Dr. Anthony Fauci from his [?] appearances, I want to be sure you recognize the scope of his public service was appreciated very long before COVID19. Dr. Fauci was appointed the director of NIAID in 1984, when I was barely in high school. He has advised six presidents, was a principal architect of the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief or PEPAR, and his scientific contributions in HIV immunopathogensis have ranked him the 41st most highly cited researcher of all time. His awards are too numerous to list but include the Lasker Award and the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest honor given to a civilian by a US president, and that was all before he stands as the international face of science and truth in all things COVID19. Dr. Fauci doesn't know this, but, when I first met him years ago, he shook my hand, and I walked away and swore, even as an ID doc, that I would never wash it again. That handshake is like the red carpet of an infectious disease. Dr. Fauci, we are so privileged to have you join us this morning."

Whoa. That introduction is so gross. And I imagine Fauci loved it, made a mental note of it, and pushed for her appointment to head the CDC because of her fawning.

I agree. As I watched the speech on Zoom at the time, I figured that Walensky was auditioning for CDC Director. For it was already clear by then that the Vaccine Deep State was going to steal the election and appoint Fauci president -- sorry, slip of the tongue, I mean appoint Biden.

Puff the Magic Doctor

(Apologies to Leonard Lipton and Peter Yarrow)

Puff the Magic Doctor lives in D.C.,

And frolics in the federal swamp as a lifelong employee

He has the ears of presidents and mainstreams gush his name,

But along with Gates and max vaxx crowd his agenda’s one of shame

Puff said to go on cruises and covid wouldn’t come here,

He insisted masks are useless but now smothers us in fear

On the cable shows they bless him even after he models wrong,

Puff roars lockdown and toe the line or gramps won’t be here long

Oh, Puff the Magic Doctor lives in D.C.,

And he tries to scare the commonsense out of you and me

The prez was late to counter and took Puff’s bad advice,

Governors turned tyrants and the police won’t ever think twice

The economy crashed with Main Street trashed while Puff’s tale ever changed,

His pimping for a vaxx makes him part of the plan and more than a bit deranged

Oh, Puff the Pied Piper Viper lives in D.C.,

And revels in the Beltway slime filling folks with fantasy

Gates is calling worldwide shots with his vaccine song and dance,

While Puff makes sure the folks are in a media covid trance

If you think Puff and gang will stop at this you’re thicker than I thought you were,

High on their list is digital dough while famine culls the herd

Now we’re chained in madness with Puff warning of a second wave (!)

Vaccine vials and syringes stockpiled for a new war generals crave

Hope the people will wake the f*#k up before it gets too late,

The elites gotta go and it must be soon or we’re going to get put away

Oh, Puff the Magic Doctor lives in D.C.,

And wallows in the federal funk spouting evil quackery

Coming soon: “White Rabbit (hole)”

The "why" of Walensky's corruption is doubtless her lack of an effective preventive or treatment for the inherent corruptibility of existential humanness. Thank you for this snapshot of one point in time during the disease process of her "how."

Expand full comment

The antidote to corruption is accountability. Not looking good in that regard.

Expand full comment

Thank you! That's it, in a nutshell. And what a good choice They made in Walensky, as she is clearly one who takes accountability very seriously. How acute of Them to realise, and how unfortunate for us that it is the case, that she can be and is being manipulated (intimidated?) into diverting the conscience she demonstrably has *away* from accountability to god, self, and humanity in order to direct that conscience toward providing accountability to her newish overlords and masters. Classic booby-trap of socialism. Not looking good at all.

Fair point. I did include a "cringe" warning, but I agree that it's beyond cringe.

In the insanity sweepstakes, it rivals Fauci getting the $1-million Dan David Prize from Tel Aviv University. In the words of the prize committee (with my additions in [brackets]), Fauci is "a consummate model of leadership and impact in public health" who "leveraged his considerable communication skills to address people gripped by fear and anxiety [that he created!] and worked relentlessly to [mis]inform individuals in the United States and elsewhere about the public health measures essential for containing the pandemic's spread." They also praised him for "his courage in speaking truth to power in a highly charged political environment."

Are they that deluded, or are they mocking us?!

As many of you know, bougiecrat is a term I coined. It's a combination of the words bourgeois and technocrat. Bougiecrats are people who believe that our system is meritocratic and that bourgeois technocrats should rule over society. They believe that this is the best of all possible worlds and that modern technology is the solution to all problems. Most Democrats today are bougiecrats. But some Republicans are too (e.g. Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney, Brett Kavanaugh). I probably coined the term some time after reading, "Listen, Liberal: Or, What Ever Happened to the Party of the People?" by Thomas Frank which is brilliant analysis of the modern Democratic Party.

Bougiecrats get so mad if you ask them to think. They look at you like you just switched languages and are talking in gibberish. They have been rewarded for so long for obedient-execution that they believe it's the same thing as thinking. When one points out that it is not, they become angry and want to fight.

I can’t say common core is dramatically worse than the previous do-gooder, dumbing-down iterations of curriculum, but government schools in general are toxic sewers. Public school is where children learn to subjugate the entirety of themselves to authority. You will learn this, not that. You will wait your turn. Ask questions, but not too many. Show some enthusiasm, even if that enthusiasm is feigned, but be ready to move on when the bell rings in 50 minutes (do you know why schools have bells? Do get kids used to the conditions of factory work). Get permission to use the bathroom. Have zero control on how you spend 8 hours a day, and then go home and have school control those hours too. Do not learn to trust yourself or your parents, but wait for the evaluation of others, and become accustomed to sitting in the judgement of others until you die.

Expand full comment

TPTB are creating a society that is exactly like public school - but for adult life, I'm afraid. Permanent records are becoming a real thing, for instance - and the bullying of those who don't go along with the King of the Hill in the schoolyard is regularly happening in the MSM and on Social Media. This can only end in a Squid Game type of existence if folks don't wake up to it.

thanks, some really excellent points… and when you put Mr. Monsanto/GMO in charge of Agriculture (you get MORE GMO's), put Klaus Schwab World Economic selected Young Leader Jeff Zients on the Coronavirus task force plus Fauci and implement Trump’s Operation Warp speed billion dollar deals with Pfizer, Moderna then you get the Davos plan/agenda to take over the world (New World Order-Great Reset). Not exactly folks who care about public health.

"How is an 85% vaccination rate a success when the vaccine does not actually stop the virus?".

"They are guided by ideology, not facts."

These insights extend beyond the Covid response to the way that the entire government vaccine program operates. Success is measured by how many kids (and sometimes adults) they were able to coerce or con into taking their jabs. It is never about improving health outcomes, which it would be in a saner world. It is simply assumed that if they stab enough people, then they have made the world a better place. Au contraire!

We must stop thinking about these "experts" as doctors or scientists, or what have you. They are politicians of the worst kind, for the most part. They are wolves in sheep's clothing.

It's simple. The cartel knows that important people like the three most liberal (and probably more) Supreme Court justices read the NY Times as one of their primary sources of information. The most liberal also undoubtedly consume CNN. Getting the lies repeated has an impact where it counts. We saw that in the questions from the bench during the mandate cases. That's who these reporters are writing for. Clearly the Justices don't have the critical thinking skills required to spot the bias and deception. Unfortunately I know a lot of ordinary people who don't either.

This essay is so on point. I'm losing respect for smart people, like many of my friends who are bougiecrats or simply able to make $60,000 + per year working from home, or otherwise don't have to worry about money. They should all see what we see. It's not hidden and doesn't take a rocket scientist to assess the situation.

I recall the phase one and two studies from the trials for both mRNA products indicating that the treatments did not prevent people from getting or spreading the virus. I remember pointing this out to people just as the pundit class started telling us that the vaxx would stop covid and wondering if they were idiots or liars.

Walensky reminds me of Kamala Harris. They’re both in way over their heads, have no confidence in themselves and always appear completely lost.

Its been clear for awhile that DeSantis is a sort of “shadow” President, practically saving the country by himself. He’s always steps ahead of Biden and the contrast is notable to the entire country. I sincerely hope he is the GOP nominee in 2024.

I’m about an hour in to Senator Ron Johnson’s hearing from Monday and so far it’s excellent. It’s long but nevertheless should be distributed far and wide.

It's so dispiriting to read these stories, isn't it? The lack of curiosity on the part of the reporters is just disappointing. We know they're not doing journalism, because we could sit down and bang out a story like this without consulting a single source. Propaganda is predictable and stultifying.

The question is: do we really believe in Walensky's shock? Do we believe Fauci ever thought there was a medical or scientific justification for vaccine mandates? Do we believe the Times reporter believes these things?

For me, the only question I answer yes to, sadly, is the third. The reporters are dumb fascist clowns, a good reminder of what happens when we fail to ask questions and hold people accountable based upon who they are (or what they are)-- and when we create systems that publicly shame and cancel contrarians.
