Best interview I’ve ever heard on the corruption of biomedicine, because the analysis is from a social science academic with a number of years (10?) of research driven initially out of personal interest and with a focus on Political Economics - always the most radically objective science in my view. Please pass this interview on to friends, families and cross eyed govt reps.
Excellent discussion, sincere and honest. I’m not in any position to accurately critique the genetic theory of autism, but I do fully understand, and agree, that your argument is compelling. However, I would respectfully caution everyone to recognize that both the genetic and the environmental theories of causation are like two ships heading to the same deterministic port in the sense that both solely ascribe psychological mechanisms to human behavior and consciousness while ignoring the contribution of conceptual development. It’s akin to trying to explain a malfunctioning computer by looking solely at an improperly manufactured microprocessor (genetics) or, alternatively, a circuit board that was damaged by a voltage spike (environmental) without ever giving any consideration to corrupted software (conceptual) that has otherwise been loaded onto perfectly functional hardware. Aristotle was the first to recognize that man is born tabula rasa; that he has essentially no instinctual capabilities worth mentioning; that he must develop his own mind, including his personality and social skills, through a long, careful integration of concepts. In short, Man is a conceptual being. Now, while you’re holding that thought, observe the number of modern impediments to that conceptual development—that software programming. You have mothers who have to choose work over interacting with their child and when they do have a chance they choose to surf their Facebook page instead. You have the television teaching a false reality. Same with video games. You have schools that force children to wear masks. You have childcare facilities where early development amounts to crying alone in a crib.
These are good points. You give us a lot to think about here. I would just add though that all of the metaphors we use to think about these things are likely wrong, but they are so hard to avoid.
Every organism from bacteria to mammals have built in mechanisms to resist change or becoming different.
For example:
E. coli bacteria will always be E. coli bacteria no matter what external force in applied. E. Coli adapts to its environment but the in result is always E. Coli. There has never been any evidence of any living organism becoming a different organism. It just cannot happen.
However, as we have discovered from the COVID shots, the introduction of pseudouridine replacing uracil in a CRISPER spliced section of mRNA causes major disruptions in the human system when wrapped inside lipid nanoparticles.
Sometimes things do go wrong but the result will always be the same species.
I took one week to read and comprehend ( I am a Civil Engineer). Thank you very much for consolidating all the data needed in one article. Its true that concept of DNA is just Batshit aka Guano. None listens to me seriously and now I have a guided missile to fire.
That reminds me Dr Rima E. Laibow has also produced a very good booklet on Autism.
Learned a lot. will need to read again to learn some more. I feel genetics has been a useful scapegoat for a long time but looks like we're finally beginning to see there are other factors that need to found out. I'm curious though about the successes were here about genetics. About how they are able to make better produce out of it for example. I mention it as I'm sure defenders of the status quo will point to any and all successes to counter the larger point of this article.
I know this is a longshot but I'd love it if anyone critical of genetic theories for disease would take a look at Retinitas Pigmentosa and the one genetic variation they managed to find a gene therapy for. Curious what an alternative theory for this condition would come up with.
I was looking into age-related macular degeneration and it seems that a lot of genes for the retina are transcribed by the VDR. There's a whole list of "SNP's associated" with age-related macular degeneration which are all target genes for the VDR (PMC3908680). Gene RPE65 is also a direct target. Hypervitaminosis D dysregulates the VDR. Vitamin A also plays a role. We get too much both IMHO. So I am wondering if those "mutations" could simply be poisoning by so-called "vitamins". You nailed it Toby when you said "The more scientists discover about the actual workings of genetics, the more it reveals how little we know about disease causation; but reductionist narratives about genetic causation persist because they are profitable."
The problem is that politicians will do anything for money and that includes telling lies.
The geneticists and virologist are playing the politicians for fools while racking in profits.
I love this chapter and critique of the gene-tech madness. The question I am left with is: you referred to a number of scientists who could see through the gene therapies mythology back in 2013 or so...what on earth happened to them in 2021, and why haven't I come across them exposing the criminality of the transfections posing as vaccines? Have they passed away in the meantime? Did they succumb to the fear-mongering and believe the Safe&Effectives would save them? Or did they save their highly paid positions like most academics and doctors who went silent? I look forward to your book!
I was a research biologist and lecturer in genetics and I share your doubt of the reductionistic "wisdom" we passed on. So does Dr Jonathan Jay Couey, who awoke during the pandemonium and is exploring new ways to debunk the "bad biology" and refine our way to a Biology 101 with reverence for individuals as "pattern integrities" across time rather than DNA-controlled-humans. https://stream.gigaohm.bio/c/biology_101/videos?s=1
Writing as a parent with a severely autistic child I think 'genes' are a very convenient way for professionals/'experts' to sound clever and informed when they have no idea what causes autism. They get away with the storytelling because they are never properly challenged and in our encounters with them, they have all the power. 40 years ago the same people would have blamed the mothers for being cold and reserved in their parenting style (the 'refrigerator mother' narrative).
The wonderful thing about having RFK in charge at HHS is that he is calling time on the storytelling. He is opening up space for parents and people like Toby to tell a different story. Thank God. The experts rarely realise they are repeating fantastical stories - they are compliant and don't actually think - so we hear 'safe and effective', 'it's genetic', 'cold parenting' because that is what they are told to say. They should know better but us parents have a deep experience that they lack - despite spending their days diagnosing, researching or teaching children with autism. Us parents need to get answers. Our children depend on us to get answers. Our children's children depend on us getting answers and acting on them. If you can think logically, you could reason that if ASD is hereditary, it would not increase abnormally as it would be seen in the United States.
Or are men with ASD genes pregnant with so many women?
Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that there is another factor in increasing ASD.
If we learn that there are almost no children with ASD in the Amish group who refuse to take vaccin, and who refuse to take the medication except for serious illnesses. (The Amish population is 380,000 to 500,000, and if you multiply the average ASD rate in the US, there may be about 2,000 children with ASD, but there are almost none.)
Self-regulation isn’t just a nice bonus—it’s the bedrock of freedom for all living organisms.
Without it, we’re puppets, cogs in a machine, and rights become favors. l
Reducing humans to mechanisms – parts -invites oppression, darkness, tyranny and harm, whether intentional or not.
A desire – everything must get worse = Western biomedical business/political model in action

The label “Autism” has been misused to cover up all the damage caused by vaccines. Autism is something completely different.
Thank you!!

Please share the other two chapters with us. I'm particularly interested in the one on the history of regulation of mercury.
Thank you Toby, you are one of a kind!
What a great read. As a biology teacher of 40 years I am now doubting much of what I taught.
